Watch Millions of Birds in Colorado Springs

People aren’t the only ones who flock to Colorado to see the sights.  Birds do it too. In fact, the Colorado Springs area is in the middle of the Central Flyway. Hummingbirds, hawks, eagles, and more than 400 other species of birds fly right over your RV as they head as far away as Canada.

Pikes Peak Birding and Nature Festival

Make plans now to be here on May 14-16, 2021 for the 6th Annual Pikes Peak Birding and Nature Festival. The Pikes Peak region has much to offer migratory birds in terms of shelter and food…

·      Prairies full of short grasses

·      Yummy insects

·      Forests for nesting

·      Canyon walls to perch on

Birds in Colorado Springs

New this year is the Live Birds of Prey presentation from the Nature and Wildlife Discovery Center. Check out the Mile High Bug Club, discover how to band a hummingbird, learn how to sketch birds and nature from artist Christine Hubbell, or just enjoy hiking through the aromatic junipers in the foothills of Pikes Peak.

Events are held in several locations.  Many of them are at Fountain Creek Nature Center, 320 Pepper Grass Lane, Fountain, CO 80817.  Call the Festival Representative at (719)-520-6399 for registration information.
